(Kansas City, KA) - There were no changes at the top of the leaderboard following yesterday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
Matt Kenseth survived a wall scrape to beat Martin Truex Junior by nearly half-a-second for his 24th career win and first ever at the one and-a-half mile D-oval.
Paul Menard finished third, pole-sitter Kasey Kahne finished fourth, and Tony Stewart rallied from his thirty-third starting position for a fifth place finish.
The new surface and higher banks produced a track record 14 cautions and 66 caution laps.
Brad Keselowski maintains his seven point lead over Jimmie Johnson after finishing in eighth.
Johnson salvaged a ninth place finish after spinning out and tagging the wall on lap-135.
Denny Hamlin trails Keselowski by 20 points after coming in thirteenth.
Stewart's performance at Kansas bumped him up one spot to seventh, and Jeff Gordon is now eighth in points after finishing tenth yesterday.
The Chase is down to four races and resumes this weekend with the Turns Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
