(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Pacers begin formal preparations for the 2012-2013 campaign with the opening of training camp today at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Pacers gathered with the media yesterday and displayed confidence in the team's ability to realistically compete for an NBA title.
Forward Danny Granger was the team's top scorer during the strike-shortened season, and will be limited at camp because of an injury to his knee.
Coach Frank Vogel remains at the helm after winning 52 games last season and the starting lineup is in tact.
The biggest shake-up was in the Pacers front office, where Larry Bird stepped down as team President to make room for the returning Donnie Walsh.
Kevin Pritchard also replaced David Morway as General Manager.
The Pacers first preseason game is October tenth against Minnesota.
