(Cincinnati, OH) The Cincinnati Reds have extended manager Dusty Baker’s contract for two more seasons.
The extension runs through the 2014 campaign. Baker has been the Reds' manager since October of 2007, winning the National League Central Division title in 2010 and 2012.
The Reds were eliminated in the divisional round of the playoffs both seasons.
The 63-year-old Baker was hospitalized last month with an irregular heartbeat but returned to the dugout during the final week of the regular season.
