(NEW YORK, NY) - The Purdue Boilermakers fell to 1-and-2 on the season after an 89-to-81 overtime loss to the Villanova Wildcats at Madison Square Garden.
Nova's James Bell shook-off a 1-for-8 night behind the three point arc to drain a couple of threes in overtime to sink the Boilers.
DJ Byrd led Purdue with 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists and Ronnie Johnson had 12 points and nine assists for the Boilers, who play the 2-and-1 Oregon State Beavers tonight in the consolation game of the 2K Sports Classic.
