(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts return to practice today in preparation for Sunday’s road contest against the 2-12 Kansas City Chiefs.
The 9-5 Colts will secure a playoff spot with a win at Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday or a win against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium on December 30th.
The other teams in contention for the two wildcard births are the 8-6 Cincinnati Bengals and 7-7 Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Colts would automatically qualify for the playoffs regardless of their performance against Kansas City if the Steelers lose to Cincinnati at Heinz Field this Sunday.
All three teams would have to sort out multiple tie breaking scenarios if there is a three-way deadlock with 9-7 records when the season concludes.
