(Detroit, MI) - The Indianapolis Colts are 8-4 after scoring two touchdowns in the final two and-a-half minutes of the game to win a 35-33 thriller over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
Andrew Luck finished with 391 yards, four touchdowns, and shook off three interceptions to engineer the last two scoring drives for the upstart Colts.
Detroit wideout Calvin Johnson was unchecked on a 13 catch, 171 yard afternoon that included a 46 yard touchdown bomb from Matthew Stafford in the second half.
TY Hilton caught 12 passes for 100 yards, giving the rookie from Florida International his fourth 100 yard receiving game of the season.
The Colts running game was mostly ancillary to the passing assault against Detroit.
Vick Ballard had 41 yards on nine carries and Luck ran for 33 yards on three carries.
Stafford finished with 313 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception for Detroit.
The Lions are 4-and-8 and travel to the Green Bay Packers Sunday night.
The Colts have a one game lead for the top AFC wildcard spot over Pittsburgh and Cincinnati and host the 4-and-8 Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday.
