(South Bend, IN) - The 22nd ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish cruised to a 74-62 win over the IPFW Mastodons at the Joyce Center in South Bend.
The Fighting Irish built on a 12 point lead at the break with a 9-5 run to start the second half and held IPFW to 35 percent shooting in the win.
Pat Connaughton erupted for 18 points for Notre Dame, more than doubling his eight points- per-game average this season.
The Sophomore swingman also had six rebounds and five assists and shot 7 of 9 from the field.
Jack Cooley added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Fighting Irish and Luis Jacobo and Joe Edwards led the Mastodons with 11 points each.
Notre Dame is 10-1 on the season and host the Kennesaw State Owls tomorrow night in South Bend.
IPFW falls to 5-7 and entertain Kennesaw State Friday night.
