(Indianapolis, IN) - The IUPUI Jaguars overcame a six point halftime deficit to beat the IU Northwest Redhawks, 65-59 in Downtown Indianapolis.
The Jaguars trailed the NAIA school by as many as nine points and were held to 36 percent shooting on the evening.
Lyonell Gaines was a rebound short of the school record in netting 19 boards for the Jaguars, who also received an 18 point contribution from senior John Hart.
Brandon Grubl and Devin Ellis led the Redhawks with 21 points each.
The Jaguars have a 4-8 record and host the Indiana State Sycamores Saturday.
IU Northwest are 4-11 and travel to the IU Kokomo Cougars Saturday afternoon.
