(Indianapolis, IN) - Two of the league’s best defensive teams are on display tonight when the Indiana Pacers host the Chicago Bulls at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The 15-12 Bulls rank third in the NBA in points allowed but were handed a 120-97 loss by the Houston Rockets at the United Center Tuesday night.
All five of Houston's starters scored in double digits and capitalized on the paper thin back court of Chicago, who continue to struggle without point guard Derrick Rose.
The Bulls are still awaiting a timetable on Rose's return but were encouraged when the former MVP returned to practice last Thursday.
The 16-12 Pacers are beginning to fare better offensively without their top scorer and have played exceptional defense most of the season.
The team is first in the league in points allowed and have been fortified offensively by several players while Danny Granger continues to work towards a February return from an injured knee.
David West leads the team in scoring with over 17 points-per-game and netted 25 points in an 81-75 win over the New Orleans Hornets Saturday night.
Tipoff tonight between the Bulls and Pacers from the Fieldhouse is at 7:00.
