(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Pacers go for their third consecutive victory tonight when they face the 9-10 Denver Nuggets in Downtown Indianapolis.
The Pacers have played better since their 3-6 start to the season and have been elevated by a steady contribution from Paul George, who has averaged 28 points in the last two games for league's second-worst offense in scoring points.
George was blanked in the scoring column Saturday night against Golden State but returned against Chicago to explode for 34 points, his second highest output of the season.
The Pacers are demanding more consistency from the 22-year-old in the absence of Danny Granger, who will likely miss another couple of months with a perpetual knee injury suffered during last season's Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.
Denver are one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA, second only to Indiana in rebounds per game, and opened a five game road swing Wednesday with a four point loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
The Pacers are 10-9 on-the-year and will try and maintain their first winning record of the season since the team was 2-1 on November 3rd.
Tipoff tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse is at 7:00.
