(Indianapolis, IN) - Paul George scored 29 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Indiana Pacers held on to beat the Washington Wizards, 89-81 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Indiana built a 17 point lead in the first quarter but allowed Washington to pull within three late in the first half.
Indiana shot poorly and committed a number of turnovers in the second quarter in allowing the 4-26 Wizards to get back in the game.
DJ Augustin had 18 points and six assists in his second start for the injured George Hill, who missed another game with a bruised left thigh.
The Pacers are 19-13 and have won six straight games at home.
They travel to the 14-17 Boston Celtics Friday night.
