(West Lafayette, IN) - Deshaun Thomas scored 22 points in another Indiana homecoming and helped the fourteenth ranked Ohio State Buckeyes defeat the Purdue Boilermakers, 74-64 at Mackey in West Lafayette.
Thomas committed to Ohio State after being named Indiana's Mister Basketball in 2010 and was jeered by the Boilermaker fans during pregame introductions.
The Fort Wayne native sunk 4 of 7, 3-point attempts and grabbed seven rebounds in handing Purdue their second straight loss to a nationally ranked team.
The Boilermakers were led by Terone Johnson's 18 points and six rebounds.
His younger brother, freshman Ronnie Johnson, had 11 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Purdue slips to 7-8 overall, 1-2 in the conference and host the Penn State Nittany Lions Sunday at Mackey Arena.
