(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Pacers return home to Bankers Life Fieldhouse tonight to play the Detroit Pistons in the first of a four game home stretch.
Playing in Downtown Indianapolis should be a welcome relief to the road weary Pacers after completing a grueling four game road swing against some of the better competition in the Western Conference.
The Pacers finished out West by losing to the Denver Nuggets 102-101 Monday night, marking the third straight game their nationally renowned defense had allowed 100 points or more.
The Pacers have dominated on their home court, winning their last eleven games at the Fieldhouse in posting a 16-3 home record.
The Pistons are 17-28 after losing to the Milwaukee Bucks, 117-90, at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit Tuesday night.
Center Greg Monroe averages almost 16 points and nine rebounds per game for the Pistons and will matchup with Roy Hibbert in the front court.
Monroe had 18 points and eight rebounds versus Hibbert's four points and four blocks during Indiana's 88-77 win over the Pistons on December 15th in Detroit, the only meeting between the two teams this season.
Tipoff from the Fieldhouse is at 7:00.
