(Salt Lake City, UT) - Paul George will represent the Indiana Pacers as a member of the Eastern Conference All-Star team when the game commences on February 17th in Houston.
George was voted to the team by the head coaches in the East and will fill one of seven roster spots allocated for reserves.
The 22-year-old small forward is the youngest Pacer ever to make the All-Star team and has taken over as Indiana's scoring leader with a 17 points-per-game average.
David West had been the Pacers' most consistent player on both offense and defense at the power forward position but was snubbed by voters and did not make the team.
Center Roy Hibbert was an Eastern Conference reserve last year, marking the second consecutive season the Pacers have sent a player to the all-star game.
Indiana are half way through a Western Conference road trip and resume play Saturday night against the Utah Jazz.
Tipoff Saturday from Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City is at 9:30.
