(Indianapolis, IN) - Stanford University’s Pep Hamilton has been hired by the Indianapolis Colts as their new offensive coordinator, reuniting Andrew Luck with his former coach and mentor.
Hamilton spent three seasons on the Stanford coaching staff, the last two as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks' coach, and is credited for mentoring Luck into a two-time Heisman candidate and the number-one overall pick in the 2012 draft.
Hamilton spent seven seasons in the NFL prior to his days at Stanford, including a run as quarterbacks coach with the Chicago Bears from 2006 to 2009.
The Arizona Cardinals introduced former Colts' offensive coordinator, Bruce Arians, as their new head coach last week, ending his one year stay in Indianapolis.
