(Fort Wayne, IN) - The Western Illinois Leathernecks crawled to a 43-40 win over the IPFW Mastodons at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
The Mastodons produced their lowest point total of the season and were unable to capitalize on a scoring drought by Western Illinois that lasted the final eight minutes of the game.
The win gives the Leathernecks the season sweep of IPFW after a 62-50 win over the Mastodons on December 29th in Macomb, Illinois.
Demario Hines scored 13 for IPFW and Ceola Clark III had 11 points for Western Illinois, who is 16-4 overall, 8-1 in the Summit League, and travel to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies Saturday.
IPFW fall to 9-13 overall, 2-6 in the Summit League, and host the IUPUI Jaguars Saturday night.
