(Akron, OH) - The Akron Zips remained perfect in the Mid-American Conference with a 71-64 win over the Ball State Cardinals in Akron.
Ball State pulled within one point with over ten minutes to play in the game, but the Zips responded with clutch 3-point shooting and a near-perfect effort at the free throw line in the closing minute to bury the Cardinals.
Majok Majok led all scorers with 26 points and Juwan Scaife added 17 points for Ball State.
The Zips are 12-4 overall, 3-0 in the MAC, and play the Kent State Golden Flashes Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals fall to 7-8 overall, 1-2 in the conference, and travel to the Central Michigan Chippewas Saturday night.
