(Bloomington, IN) - The number-one Indiana Hoosiers brushed off a slow start to pummel the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 76-47 at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
Nebraska paced the first fifteen minutes of the game by deliberately running down the shot clock in keeping the ball away from the Hoosiers.
The game sped up after Cody Zeller exited 12 minutes into the contest, giving Indiana an opportunity to set the tone for the rest of the game in taking a nine point lead at the break.
Zeller finished with 16 points and five rebounds and Victor Oladipo and Christian Watford had 13 points each for Indiana.
Nebraska fall to 12-13 overall, 3-9 in the Big Ten Conference, and play again Saturday against the number-eight Michigan State Spartans in Lincoln.
Indiana is 22-3 overall, 10-2 in the Big Ten, and play the Purdue Boilermakers Saturday at Assembly Hall.
