(Chicago, IL) - In Major League Baseball, the Chicago Cubs have reportedly agreed to terms with free agent outfielder Scott Hairston and designated outfielder Tony Campana for assignment.
The deal will tie the 32 year old Hairston to the Cubs for the next two seasons.
Other terms were not disclosed.
Hairston set a career high with 20 home runs for the New York Mets last season and batted .263 in 134 games.
The 26 year old Campana stole 54 bases for the Cubs last year and could be sent down to the minors if he clears waivers.
