(South Bend, IN) - The number 21 Notre Dame Fighting Irish fended off the DePaul Blue Devils 82-78 in overtime at the Joyce Center.
The Blue Devils used an 11 to 1 run late in the second half to force Notre Dame into their second consecutive overtime contest.
Jerian Grant converted a three point play in the extra period and Pat Connaughton made a 3-pointer to give Notre Dame a 74-70 lead.
The Fighting Irish hit most of their free throws down the stretch to make it back-to-back wins after Saturday's 104-101, five overtime classic against Louisville.
Grant finished with 21 points and nine assists and Jack Cooley had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Notre Dame.
DePaul is 10-14 overall, 1-10 in the Big East Conference, and play at home Saturday against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Notre Dame is 20-5 overall, 8-4 in the conference, and travel to the Providence Flyers Saturday afternoon.
