(Houston, TX) - Paul George made back-to-back 3-pointers late in the NBA All-Star game Sunday night, but the Eastern Conference rally ultimately fell short in losing to the West, 143-138 in Houston.
George made the first 3-pointer in the back to back series with under two minutes left in the game and later cut the Western Conference lead to five by making another 3-pointer just thirty seconds later.
George finished with 17 points, the most of any bench player in the game, in his first All-Star appearance.
George and teammate Gerald Green were quickly eliminated from their respective competitions Saturday night in Houston.
George made a first round exit in the 3-point competition after making an evening low 10, 3-pointers.
Gerald Green failed to advance to the second round of the slam dunk competition after choosing a dunk-and dunk while switching hands for his second dunk of the night.
The Pacers begin the second half of the season Wednesday against the Knicks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
