(Indianapolis, IN) - Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger has been ruled out for tonight’s contest against the New York Knicks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Head Coach Frank Vogel said Tuesday that Granger was "not quite there yet" but had moments of playing at an All-Star caliber level during practice.
It was hoped Granger would see action tonight against the Knicks after missing the entire season with patellar tendinitis in his left knee. Indiana is 1-1 this season against New York without Granger in the lineup.
Each team has been successful on their home court, including an 81-76 victory by the Pacers last month that included a fourth quarter revival led by All-Star Paul George.
Indiana finished the first half of the season at 32-21 after beating the Bobcats last Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in wiping out a two game home losing streak.
New York is 32-18 and after losing 3 of 4 games heading into the All-Star break. Tipoff tonight is at 7:00.
