(East Lansing, MI) - The Indiana Hoosiers will be the undisputed top-ranked team in the nation when the new polls are released at 1:00 this afternoon.
Indiana and the Duke Blue Devils were each slotted number one in a college basketball poll last week, an inconclusive ordering that was resolved when the Blue Devils lost to the Maryland Terrapins Saturday night.
The Hoosiers, however, were successful in dispatching the much lesser Nebraska Cornhuskers and Purdue Boilermakers by a combined total of 57 points in the last polling cycle.
Indiana is hoping that an ankle injury sustained by Victor Oladipo against the Boilermakers won't keep the senior guard from playing against the conference co-leading Michigan State Spartans Tuesday.
Oladipo sat out the entire second half against Purdue with a sprained ankle but walked free of a protective boot after the game.
