(Columbus, OH) - The Indiana Hoosiers handled another one of the best in the Big Ten Conference, beating the number-ten Ohio State Buckeyes 81-68 at Value City Arena in Columbus.
The win is redemption from last Thursday's heartbreaker at Illinois, where Tyler Griffey made an uncontested layup with under a second to play in regulation to stun the top-ranked Hoosiers.
Indiana allowed the Fighting Illini to close out the game on a 13-2 run to steal the win, but had little trouble disposing of the Buckeyes yesterday in hostile territory.
Yesterday's defeat is the first time Ohio State have lost consecutive games in 121 tries, formerly the longest streak of any team in the nation.
Victor Oladipo led the Hoosiers with 26 points and eight rebounds and Cody Zeller had 24 points and eight rebounds for Indiana.
Deshaun Thomas, a native of Fort Wayne, led the Buckeyes with 26 points and seven rebounds.
Ohio State falls to 17-4 overall, fifth in the Big Ten with a 7-4 record, and host the Northwestern Wildcats Thursday evening.
The Hoosiers are 21-3 overall, tied for first place in the conference with a 9-2 record, and host the Nebraska Cornhuskers Wednesday night.
