(Muncie, IN) - Jauwan Scaife had a career high 34 points during the Ball State Cardinals 95-90 win over the Central Michigan Chippewas at John E. Worthen Arena in Muncie.
Scaife made 6 of 10, 3-point attempts in leading a 56 percent overall shooting effort by the Cardinals.
The Chippewas trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, but cut the lead to 92-90 with ten seconds left in the game.
Scaife made a pair of free throws in the closing seconds to help Ball State win their fourth game in five tries.
Chris Fowler and Kyle Randall led Central Michigan with 18 points each.
Jesse Berry and Chris Bond added 15 points a piece for the Cardinals.
The Chippewas are 9-18 overall, 2-11 in the Mid-America Conference, and play Saturday night at the Northern Illinois Huskies.
The Cardinals are 12-14 overall, 5-8 in the MAC, and play Saturday afternoon at the Toledo Rockets.
