(St. Louis, MO) - The number-10 Butler Bulldogs committed 23 turnovers and trailed by double-digits most of the game during a 75-58 loss against the Saint Louis Billikens at Chaifetz Arena in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Butler trailed by 11 at the break after shooting 37 percent from the field in the first half, and did little to mount a comeback against the Atlantic 10's best scoring defense.
The sellout crowd stormed the court after the Billikens secured their second win over a ranked opponet since the passing of their head coach, Rick Majerus, on December first of last year.
Majerus, a former head coach of the Ball State Cardinals, died of heart complications after taking a leave of absence from the team in late August.
Jordair Jett came off the bench to lead all scorers with 19 points and Dwayne Evans added 15 points for Saint Louis.
Rotnei Clark had 17 points and six turnovers for Butler and starting forward Khyle Marshall, had five turnovers and two points in ten minutes of game action.
Saint Louis is 15-5 overall, 4-2 in conference play, and host the Dayton Flyers Sunday at Chaifetz Arena.
Butler is 17-4 overall, 4-2 in the Atlantic-10, and host the Rhode Island Rams Sunday at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
