(Fort Wayne, IN) - The IPFW Mastodons were torched by a 53 point single-game performance in losing to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, 80-74, at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
Nate Wolters set a school record at South Dakota State for most points in a game and also made nine three pointers, another school record for the Jackrabbits.
IPFW led by eight at the break and never trailed in the second half until Wolters made a 3-pointer with under two minutes to go.
The Jackrabbits closed out the game with a 13-5 run to secure the win and move into a first place tie in the Summit League.
Frank Gaines had 29 points and Luis Jacobo added 14 points for the Mastodons.
South Dakota State are 19-6 overall, 10-2 in the Summit League and travel to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies Saturday.
IPFW is 10-15 overall, 3-8 in league play, and host the North Dakota State Bison Saturday.
