(Mobile, AL) Butler associate head coach, Matthew Graves, has landed his first head coaching gig in basketball with the South Alabama Jaguars.
Graves was introduced Monday at the Moblie, Alabama campus after spending nearly a decade with Butler as an assistant coach and the last three seasons as associate head coach to Brad Stevens.
He starred on the Butler basketball team in the late-nineties and later spent three seasons as an assistant in the high school ranks with North Central and Ben Davis in Indianapolis.
He replaces Jeff Price, who led the Jaguars to a 17-13 record and an appearance in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament as interim head coach last season.
