Heat Beat Pacers For 18th Straight Win

Last updated on Monday, March 11, 2013

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Miami Heat continued as the hottest team in the NBA in brushing off the Indiana Pacers, 105-91 at American Airlines Arena in Miami.

The Heat have won 18 straight games, the longest winning in the league since the Boston Celtics won 19 consecutive in 2008.

Mario Chalmers scored 26 points and made five-of-six, 3-point attempts in helping counter a season low in scoring by Lebron James, who netted 13 points for the reigning league champions.

David West led the Pacers with 24 points and Paul George, who scored 29 against Miami back in January, had 10 points on 2-of-11 shooting and five turnovers.

Chris Bosh had 24 points for the Heat and Dwayne Wayne had 23 points and six steals.

Indiana has the third best record in the East at 39-24 in front of a two game home stand against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers.
