(UNDATED) - The NCAA Men’s Championship Tournament Brackets were announced Sunday night, and the Indiana Hoosiers will join the Louisville Cardinals, Kansas Jayhawks, and Gonzaga Bulldogs as the tournament’s four, number-one seeds when play begins this week.
The Hoosiers are the top seed in the East Regional, and will play Friday in Dayton, Ohio against the winner of the Long Island-Brooklyn Blackbirds and the James Madison Dukes.
The Butler Bulldogs are on the opposite side of the East bracket as the six-seed, allowing for a potential regional finals showdown between Indiana and Butler in Washington DC.
The Bulldogs open tournament play Thursday in Lexington, Kentucky against the eleventh-seeded Bucknell Bison.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are seeded seventh in the West Regional and play Friday against the tenth-seeded Iowa State Cyclones in Dayton.
The Valparaiso Crusaders are seeded fourteenth in the Midwest Regional and play Thursday against the third-seeded Michigan State Spartans at Auburn Hills, Michigan
