(Sioux Falls, SD) - The IPFW Mastodons were eliminated from the Summit League tournament following a 72-56 loss to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The Jackrabbits opened the second half with four consecutive 3-pointers to overcome a 34-32 halftime deficit and later went on a 23-2 run to advance to the league tournament finals.
Frank Gaines led all scorers with 25 points for IPFW and Nate Wolters, who scored a nation high 53 points against the Mastodons last month, finished with 18 points for South Dakota State.
IPFW exit the Summit League tournament with a 16-17 overall record and a 7-9 record in league play.
The Jackrabbits will play the North Dakota State Bison tonight in the tournament finals.
The winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, which begins next Tuesday.
