(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts and wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey have agreed to terms, adding another formidable target to the AFC’s third best passing offense in 2012.
Heyward-Bey was drafted in the first round in 2009 by the Oakland Raiders and has spent all four years in the NFL with Oakland.
The 6'2", 216 pound wideout recorded his best season in 2011 with 975 yards on 64 catches, including four touchdowns.
His productivity dropped-off in 2012 with 606 yards on 41 catches, but found the endzone an additional time with five touchdowns for Oakland.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although several media outlets are reporting that the former University of Maryland star will sign a one-year contract worth up to 3 million dollars.
