(Indianapolis, IN) The Indianapolis Colts traded pass rusher Jerry Hughes to the Buffalo Bills Monday in exchange for inside linebacker Kelvin Shepherd.
Hughes was regarded as a talented defensive end after recording 30 sacks and eight forced fumbles in two seasons with Texas Christian University.
He had just five sacks in three seasons with the Colts and will cost the team 2.1 million dollars in dead cap money.
Shepherd was a third round draft pick from Louisiana State in 2011 and notched 80 tackles and two sacks for Buffalo last season.
