(St. Louis, MO) - In the National League Sunday, the St. Louis Cardinals missed a chance to sweep the Milwaukee Brewers when Jonathon Lucroy homered in the top of the tenth inning, giving the Brewers a 4-3 win at Busch Stadium.
The Cardinals led 3-0 in the eighth until Ryan Braun snapped a 32-inning scoring outage by the Brewers with a 2 run homer off reliever Trevor Rosenthal.
Yuniesky Betancourt doubled in the ninth to tie the game at 3-3, and Lucroy hit the go ahead home run in the extra frame off of reliever Fernando Salas.
Matt Adams hit his third home run of the year and Yadier Molina and Matt Holliday each drove in runs for the Cardinals.
St. Louis has a one game lead on the Pirates for first place in the NL Central at 7-5.
The two teams open a 3-game series tonight in Pittsburgh.
