(undated) - In the National League Tuesday, Brownsburg, Indiana’s Lance Lynn struck-out 10 batters in the St. Louis Cardinals’ 5-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds at Busch Stadium.
Lynn followed his first outing of the season, a subpar 4 run performance against the Arizona Diamondbacks, by holding the first place Reds to 1 run over the course of 6-innings pitched.
Matt Adams pinched-hit for Lynn in the sixth inning and gave the Cardinals their first lead of the game with a 2-run home run, and Allen Craig and Carlos Beltran each drove-in Runs later in the inning to give St. Louis a 4-1 lead.
Cincinnati leads St. Louis by a game in the Central Division.
They play the rubber game of the 3-game set at 1:45 today at Busch Stadium.
