(Boston, MA) - Tonight’s contest between the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics has been canceled after two explosions during the Boston Marathon caused multiple fatalities and critically wounded dozens of others on Monday.
The NBA released a statement late Monday night announcing the cancellation of the game at TD Garden in Boston while offering sympathy to those affected by the tragedy.
All Pacers were safely accounted for after the team attended a Boston Red Sox game earlier in the afternoon.
The team returns to Indianapolis early Tuesday morning and ends the regular season Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76rs.
The game against the Celtics will not be rescheduled.
