(Cleveland, OH) In the American League Sunday, Jake Peavy struck out eleven and Paul Konerko hit the go ahead home run to lift the Chicago White Sox over the Cleveland Indians, 3-1 at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
Peavy allowed 1 run over his 7 innings pitched in winning his second game of the season, and Konerko's 2 run blast in the sixth inning gave the White Sox the lead for the first time at 2-1.
Alejandro De Aza added an insurance run by hitting his third home run of the season in the eighth inning.
The Indians slip to 5-6 and break until Tuesday when they host the Boston Red Sox.
The White Sox are 5-7 on the year and open a 4 game set tonight at the Toronto Blue Jays.
