(Cleveland, OH) - In the American League Wednesday, the Boston Red Sox won their fifth straight game by beating the Cleveland Indians 6-3 at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
The Indians started a rally in the sixth inning when Nick Swisher and Jason Giambi hit back-to-back home runs to make it 5-3.
Shane Victorino provided the Red Sox with an insurance run in the eighth, and Andrew Bailey closed out the Indians in the ninth for his first save of the year.
Justin Masterson followed last weekend's complete game shutout against the White Sox by allowing 4 runs in five-innings pitched.
The Indians are 5-8 and will try to avoid the sweep tonight when they conclude their series against the Boston.
First pitch at Progressive Field is at 7:05.
