(Chicago, IL) - In the American League Thursday, the Chicago White Sox were dominated by Jeremy Guthrie and the Kansas City Royals’ bullpen during a 3-1 loss at U-S Cellular Field in Chicago.
Guthrie had 9-strikeouts over 6-innings pitched and three relievers held Chicago scoreless in the closing innings.
Alejandro De Aza provided Chicago's only run by scoring Tyler Flowers with a single in the bottom of-the-fifth inning.
The White Sox are 2-1 and host the Seattle Mariners tonight.
