(Chicago, IL) - The Chicago White Sox launched 4 home runs and Jake Peavy turned in a solid outing in a 5-2 win over the Kansas City Royals at US Cellular Field.
Peavy's 6 inning, 6 strikeout effort was supported by solo home runs from Adam Dunn and Tyler Flowers early in the game.
Dayan Viciedo hit a 2 run shot in the fourth-inning and Alexei Ramirez added one more in the seventh to give the White Sox bullpen a 5-to-2 advantage.
A host of relievers combined for 3 scoreless innings and Addison Reed picked-up his second-save after a flawless ninth-inning.
Ervin Santana struck out eight but allowed 4 earned runs in losing his debut with the Royals.
Dunn and Flowers had 2 hits and scored a run each for the Southsiders, who can finish a 3 game sweep of the Royals by winning this afternoon in Chicago.
