(Kansas City, MO) - In Major League Baseball, Tyler Lyons won his second major league start and the St. Louis Cardinals hit three home runs in beating the Kansas City Royals, 4-1 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
The 25-year-old Lyons nearly duplicated his first big league start with a seven-inning, one-run performance against the Royals.
Carlos Beltran hit a two-run homer that gave St. Louis a 2-0 lead in the opening frame for the second straight night.
The Cardinals host the Royals tonight at 8:15.
