(Pittsburgh, PA) - In the National League Thursday, the Pittsburgh Pirates built a lead on Edwin Jackson early in finishing a sweep of the Chicago Cubs , 4-2, at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
Jackson fell to 1-7 in ten-starts for the Cubs and was pulled from the game after three-innings, his shortest outing of the season.
Andrew McCutchen went 3 for 4 for Pittsburgh and had RBI singles in the first and second innings.
The Cubs begin a weekend series tonight at the Cincinnati Reds. First pitch is at 7:10.
