(Miami, FL) - In the National League Thursday, the Cincinnati Reds completed a four-game sweep of the Miami Marlins with a 5-to-3 win in ten-innings at Marlins Park.
Brandon Phillips drove in the go-ahead run in the tenth with a sacrifice fly and Jay Bruce hit a two-run double to make it 5-to-2.
Mat Latos nearly pitched a complete game for the Reds but was pulled in the bottom of-the-ninth inning after giving-up a triple. Latos allowed two-runs over eight and-a-third innings pitched and lowered his ERA to 2.91.
The Reds are 25-and-16 and open a three-game set in Philadelphia tonight. First pitch from Citizens Bank Park is at 7:05.
