(Cleveland, OH) - In the American League Tuesday, the Detroit Tigers homered twice in beating the Cleveland Indians 5-1 at Progressive Field.
Andy Dirks tied the game at 1-to-1 with a solo shot in the fifth inning.
Miguel Cabrera homered two batters later for his twelfth home run on the season.
Max Scherzer improved to 6-0 after striking out seven in eight-innings pitched.
The Indians are 26-18 and conclude their brief series against the Tigers tonight.
First pitch is at 8:05.
