(Cincinnati, OH) In the National League Monday, Andrelton Simmons homered twice in leading the Atlanta Braves over the Cincinnati Reds, 7-4 at Great American Ballpark.
Simmons gave the Braves a 2-0 lead with a solo shot in the second inning, and later hit a 2-run homer in the eighth to make it 6-2.
He finished with three-hits and four-RBIS in helping Atlanta snap the Reds' three game winning streak.
Brandon Phillips had two hits and knocked in his 28th RBI of the season in the fourth inning.
Cincinnati is 18-15 and host the Braves tonight at 7:10.
