(Chicago, IL) - In the National League Monday, Travis Wood pitched seven shutout innings in the Chicago Cubs 9-1 win over the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field.
Wood produced his major league-leading eighth quality start in pitching at least six-innings and allowing three or fewer runs in every trip to the mound this season.
He's 4-2 on the year after limiting the Rookies to just five baserunners and finished with two-hits and an RBI at the plate.
Chicago is 16-22 and can win their fourth straight game by beating Colorado tonight.
First pitch from Wrigley is at 8:05.
