(Houston, TX) - In the National League Tuesday, Allen Craig had four-hits and contributed to an explosive fifth-inning during the St. Louis Cardinals 13-5 win over the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
Craig opened the seven-run fifth with an RBI single that gave the Cardinals a 1-to-nothing lead.
Matt Carpenter hit a bases-loaded triple later in the inning to make it 6-0, and Yadier Molina broke out of a two-game hitless streak with an RBI single to make it 7-to-nothing Cardinals.
The Cardinals are 48-and-29 and play the Astros tonight at 8:10.
