(Tallahassee, FL) - In college baseball Sunday, the Indiana Hoosiers will appear in the College World Series for the first time in school history after beating the Florida State Seminoles 11-to-6 in the Super Regional at Florida State.
The Hoosiers will open the eight-team tournament against the Louisville Cardinals this weekend, who advanced after beating the Vanderbilt Commodores 2-to-1 in the Nashville Regional Sunday.
Scott Donley gave the Big-Ten Champions a 5-to-2 lead with a solo home run in the third inning and Sam Travis hit a two-run shot in the fifth to make it 7-to-5 Hoosiers.
The College World Series is held in Omaha, Nebraska and begins Saturday with scheduling to be determined.
The Hoosiers were 2-and-1 against the Cardinals during the regular season.
