(Long Pond, PA) - In NASCAR Sunday, Jimmie Johnson won for the third time in the Sprint Cup Series this season by dominating the Party in the Poconos 400 at Pocono Raceway.
Johnson led 128 of 160-laps at the "tricky triangle" and pulled away on two late restarts in taking a commanding 51-point lead in the points standings.
Greg Biffle came in second and Johnson's Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Dale Earnhardt Junior, came in third.
Indiana drivers round out the top-five, with Tony Stewart finishing fourth and Ryan Newman securing a fifth place finish. Jeff Gordon finished twelfth at the two and-a-half mile triangle and is currently eleventh in points.
Johnson is followed by Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer in the points standings.
The Sprint Cup Series continues next weekend with the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
