(Arlington, TX) - In the American League Wednesday, Jason Kipnis had three-hits and homered for the Cleveland Indians during a 5-2 over the Texas Rangers in Arlington, Texas.
Kipnis helped the Indians take two-of-three games against the AL West leaders by keying a two-run, fifth inning with a solo home run to right field.
Mike Aviles hit a two-run shot in the second inning for the Indians and Michael Brantley made it 3-0 with an RBI single in the third.
Cleveland is 32-33 and plays the Washington Nationals Friday in the first of a nine-game homestand.
